About Dog'sTimeSM

Dog'sTime is owned by Kathy Fardy MA, CAP1, an experienced, certified dog trainer specializing in behavior problems.  She commits to dogs and owners in an effort to give support for a safe and healthy environment in which a dog can be happy.  In her spare time, Kathy competes in dog agility at the Masters/Excellent levels with her  2 Labrador Retrievers and a friend’s Pembroke Welsh Corgi.  Kathy also visits nursing homes, assisted living centers and pre-school to high school age students with her therapy dogs.

We continually update our education through programs such as those offered by The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), and attending educational conferences and seminars.  We also keep up with  the latest published information, subscribing to most of the leading dog training and dog handler periodicals.    CPDT  (certified pet dog trainer) is a continuing education certification requiring up-to-date knowledge and techniques in order to maintain certification.  We participate in many programs sponsored by APDT, the administrators of this certification.  Recently, a new clicker training program, CAP, was launched (offered by world renown clicker trainer Kay Laurence, of Learning about Dogs ) concentrating on a progression through the different levels of competency for clicker trainers.  We've joined this program and are excited about what it has to offer.
